Create MAGIC

With only an hour to spare Pablo Larguía was able to touch on his experiences being a young entrepreneur. He founded Bumeran, LaRedInnova, Weemba, DoctorSIM and many other ventures in the arts area. A modest guy to say the least, his presentation was liked by many class mates. His introduction was strong. He started the lecture by stating that he had read the blogs and was captured by a blog by Fabio who had stated that he had learned nothing new from the past lecture. This sparked Pablo's interest because he did not want to repeat anything we had already learned as I think that he genuinely wanted us to take something away from his presentation. This showed that he really wanted to gain our interest and this was clear as he did his homework before coming to speak to us. This is what I appreciated.
From the information in which he shared with us about his current project, Readinnova, and his past project, Bumeran, some of the key take aways were:
- When you have a business you need to create magic, you need to make it different
- Your start up is going to be like your new partner! You need to be proud of your start-up because you will spend a lot of time with this project
- You should find a girlfriend/boyfriend before starting a start-up because after that you will not have time to find one
- You have to have a lot of respect for your team and your clients
..
In all, I enjoyed his short time with us. He was confident and enthusiastic about his project however he was refreshingly real. The key take-away in which will stick with me from his presentation is that over and above being a good entrepreneur you need CONFIDENCE and to FOCUS ON CREATING MAGIC. Lastly, he encourages us to think really big!

Great presentation!

  1. "In my view he did not say anything that was not already mentioned in other sessions or classes but it was good to hear directly from a VC."

This statement is far from "by Fabio who had stated that he had learned nothing from the past lecture"

It is nice to see how the "broken telephone" effect applies to our class

  3. I corrected the statement. It seems that I had missed a word. :)
